Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, mean "raw" in Persian and have offered a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs since the 1990s. They feature thick pile, diverse colours and bold patterns, often with geometric shapes or animals. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton. Their size varies from small mats to large carpets, suitable for any room.
