Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as they offer a more relaxed, folksy alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a wide variety of colours and bold geometric patterns. These can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room.
