Gabbeh, Persian for "raw", are rustic rugs that have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, complementing a variety of interior styles. Gabbehs have thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. Available in sizes ranging from small mats to large carpets, they fit into any room in the house.
