Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and refers to a simple, rustic rug. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring motifs such as animals or people. Usually made of wool, they come in various sizes from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
