Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Persian and describes simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as they offer a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. Their designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. With sizes ranging from mats to large carpets, they fit into any room in the house.
