Gabbeh, which means "raw" in Persian, have been popular rustic rugs since the early 1990s. As a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, they go well with folk interior design. With thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people, they are usually made of wool. They vary in size from small mats to large area rugs and are suitable for any area of the home.
