Description
Gabbeh, which means “raw” in Farsi, is a rustic rug that has been gaining popularity since the 1990s. As a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, they go well with folk interior design. Gabbehs have thick pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. They are made of wool, in sizes ranging from small mats to large area rugs for every area of the home.
