Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. These patterns are often abstract or figurative, depicting animals or people. They are mainly made of wool, but some are also made of cotton. Sizes vary from small mats to large carpets, suitable for any room in the house.
