Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and describes simple, rustic carpets. Since the 1990s, they have become more popular as they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns that often depict animals or people. They are usually made of wool, less commonly cotton or other materials, and are available in various sizes, from small mats to large rugs that can be used in any room.
