Description
Gabbeh, which means “raw” in Farsi, have become increasingly popular since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets and are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. Gabbehs often feature abstract or representational motifs such as animals or people and are made from wool or occasionally cotton. They range in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home.
