Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Gaining popularity since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed, folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs feature thick pile, many colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, some of cotton or other materials, they fit into any room of the house.
