Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to rustic carpets that have been popular since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets with thick pile, many colours and bold patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Gabbehs are usually made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, and vary in size from small mats to large rugs suitable for any room in the house.
