Description
Gabbeh, which means “raw” in Farsi, are rustic rugs that have become increasingly popular since the early 1990s as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They are characterised by thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also cotton variants. Gabbehs vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
