Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. These can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also cotton variants. They range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room.
