Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic rugs. They have become popular since the early 1990s as they offer a more relaxed alternative to Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns, often abstract or figurative with animals or people. They are usually made of wool, sometimes cotton or other materials. Sizes vary from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room.
