Description
Gabbeh, the Farsi word for “raw,” describes rustic rugs that have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, known for thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. Designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Gabbeh rugs are usually made of wool, sometimes cotton or other materials, and vary in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room.
