Gabbeh, Farsi for "raw", are rustic rugs that have been popular since the 1990s as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They have a thick pile, many colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton. From small mats to large carpets, they are suitable for any room.
