Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have grown in popularity as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they are also available in cotton or other materials, in sizes ranging from mats to large rugs, suitable for any room.
