Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as they offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. They are usually made of wool, less commonly of cotton or other materials, and are available in various sizes.
