Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes simple, rustic carpets. They have been popular since the early 1990s as they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. They often feature abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also cotton variants. Gabbehs vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any interior design.
